Ronnie J. Loveland

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronnie J Loveland, age 74, of Rockford, IL, who died peacefully on July 9, 2024, in hospice care after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ronnie was born on March 22, 1950, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to the late John J Loveland and Mildred Johnson. He proudly served his country as an Army veteran and spent his career as a dedicated machine operator and medical delivery driver.

In 1971, Ronnie married Marjorie Nelson. Though they divorced in 2017, their union brought forth a loving family. Ronnie is survived by his daughter Tonia (Rick) and son Rodney (Rose). He is also survived by three brothers: Ricky (Sue), Tony, and Jerry (Sue); two sisters: Debbie and Janet (Gary); and his sister-in-law Mel. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Michelle, his brother Louie, and his sister Shirley.

A celebration of life for Ronnie will be held on Saturday, July 13th, at Sam's Pizzeria on East Riverside from 12:45 pm to 5 pm. Please feel free to bring your favorite photo to share for the day on the family photo picture board.

Ronnie's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. Rest in peace, Ronnie. Your strength, service, and love will always be remembered.
