Sandra K. Awalt

Sandy Awalt passed away on December 18th, 2020 after a lengthy battle with Alzeheimers. She graduated from St. Charles High School in 1964 after high school, she worked as the church secretary at Valley Baptist Church in Oswego, Illinois. Sandy enjoyed working and teaching kids on Wednesday nights at the church. She loved her family, friends, scrapbooking, puzzles, and the Chicago Cubs. Sandy always had a picture of her kids or grandkids ready to show them off. 

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary Brown, and her two brothers, Ronald and Wayne Brown. Survived by her sister Sharon (Derek) Jones of Batavia, her three children Scott (Ginger) Awalt of Ashton, Stacy (Kurt) Barrett of Milwaukee, and Sheryl Franzen (Doug Fitzgerald) of Somonauk, her grandchildren Jacob Terry, Jonah Awalt, Angel Awalt, Andrew Barrett, Joseph Barrett, Kaitlan Barrett, Mary Franzen, Lizzy Franzen, and Michael Fitzgerald and her three nephews Brandon (Rachel) Jones, Robert Jones, and Tyler (Hayley) Jones. 

There will be a visitation at 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at Valley Baptist Church in Oswego, Illinois on December 28th, 2020. Donations can be made to Valley Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Sandy.
