Thomas D. Blade

Thomas D. Blade 81, went to be with his lord on March 19, 2022 At Swedish American Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born Sept.23,1940  to Fletcher and Marie (Hawkinson) Blade in Rockford, Il.  Married Sherry Robbins on June 17, 1977 in New Milford, Il. Tom retired from J.L. Clark after 41 years (1962-2003).                                                            Tom enjoyed fishing, watching his kids march in the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. And watching his grandkids play hockey, football and bowling.
Survived by his loving wife Sherry of 44 years, daughters: Kim (Allen) Redford, Lynn (Bryan) Stovall and Dawn (Steve Bauer) Shenberger. Son, Clint (Brandy ) Robbins. Grandchildren Meghan, Patrick, and Keeley Redford. Kristin (David) Langella and Kyle Italis. Alex and Macayla Robbins, Bryce, Whitney and Peyton Shenberger, Cadence and Dayne Brauer. Niece and nephews, Timothy (Donna) Blade, Trent (Unjoo) Blade, Troy (Mary) Blade and Trisha (Bob) Bixby. Also survived by 3 sister-in-laws and a brother-in-law. And many special friends.
Predeceased by his father- Fletcher, Mother- Marie and brothers, Charles and Gordon. Son-Charles Thomas. Special Thanks to Stonebridge Church, Pastor Scott Nesse, Doctors and Nurses at Swedish American Cancer Center, Promedica (Heartland) Hospice, Doctors and Nurses at Swedish American Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
