Thomas F. Duffy

Thomas F Duffy 69 - Beloved husband and father, of Poplar Grove Illinois passed away on March 5th, 2024, at Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford IL. Tom was born in Casper Wyoming on 11/06/1954 to Edward and Waneta (Gayle) Duffy.  He was the youngest of 3 boys (Mike and Jim Duffy).  Tom was a graduate from Lake Park Highschool class of 1973. Immediately following graduation Tom went to work at Cutler Hammer in Des Plaines IL. Were he met his soon to be wife Janet (Julien). They wed in April of 1975.

Tom had a hard time ever sitting still so, when he was made to take early retirement in 2018 from K&J Finishing of Rockford it was no easy task. Eventually, he got use to it. He spent his days playing on his tablet and watching some of his favorite shows like Dr. Oz and watching SVU. 

Tom leaves behind his wife of 49 years Janet (Julien) Duffy. Daughters Carri Duffy and Tracy (Aaron) Koch along with Grandchildren Blake and Karlee Crosbie (Carri) and Logan and Lindsey Koch (Tracy & Aaron). Preceded in death are Tom's parents Edward and Waneta Duffy, and brother Mike. 

Tom's family would like to thank the staff at Saint Anthony Medical Center for the great care and compassion they gave him. We appreciate you all.
