Timothy J. Renaud

Timothy J. Renaud, 83 years of age, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2023 in Geneva , Illinois. Tim was born on March 20, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Homer and Elsie Renaud and was raised in Batavia Illinois. He has one sister Pat Bass who resides in Texas. Tim attended Marmion Military Academy in Aurora, Illinois. He then went on to graduate from the Virginia Military Institute. He served in the Army after VMI. Following that, he worked as a civil professional engineer for the Port of Baltimore. Tim married the late Maria Gragnani Renaud on July 6th, 1963. Together they had two children.

He is survived by his two children, Dan Renaud (Theresa) and Lisa (Renaud) Moreland (Cameron) and grandchildren, Nicholas Renaud (deceased), Maria (Renaud) Dunford (John), Mitchell Renaud (Cheyenne), Miranda Hartman (Trent), McKenna Moreland, Cailin Moreland, and Cole Moreland.

In 1993, Tim became reacquainted with Lynn Barnes Rudberg at a high school reunion and together they went on to spend thirty years together. As a result, his family expanded to include Lynn’s children Kirsten Rudberg, Molly (Rudberg) Leshnock (Brad) and Aaron Rudberg (Sheri) and grandchildren William Leshnock, Joseph Leshnock, Emma Rudberg, Gavin Rudberg, and Sylvie Rudberg.  He is also blessed with great grandchildren including, Mark R enaud, John Dunford, Reagan Dunford, Aubrey Renaud, Ella Rebstock, Karson Rebstock, Owen Rebstock, and Avery Hartman

Tim was a master carpenter, avid astronomer and enjoyed rounds of golf. He was able to travel after retirement. He loved to stay busy. He was a loving husband, partner, father and grandfather.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring nurses and doctors at Northwestern Delnor Hospital for their amazing care and attention given to Tim in his final days.
