William R. Adkins

A life lived to the fullest
William Adkins, beloved husband, father passed away on January 12, 2026 at home with his family in
Loves Park. He was born on August 15, 1956 in Pikeville Kentucky. He lived 50 years in Belvidere, IL He
was pre deceased by his parents Bill G Adkins, and Mary Elizabeth (Mary Beth) Kinney.
William married his loving wife, Tammy Neuenschwander, in 1977. Together they raised two sons, Brian,
who lives in Ho-Chi-Minh- City, Vietnam and Adam who lives in Loves Park, IL. William was a devoted
father and cherished spending time with his family.
William attended Belvidere High School and graduated in 1974. He went on to work at CamCar in
Belvidere Illinois, there he had a 41 year successful career where he made many good friends.
William struggled with Alzheimer's for seven years before his passing. Despite his battle with the disease,
he remained a loving and kind hearted individual who touched the lives of all who knew him.
William will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
