William Carl Feltz Jr.

William Carl Feltz Jr., 84, of Belvidere, IL passed away
peacefully on 4/15/2025.
Born in Belvidere on 4/27/1940 to William Feltz Sr. and
Guyla (Whitney) Feltz.
William was a loving father, and a doting grandfather, great
grandfather and great great grandfather. He will be deeply
missed by and is survived by his children: Son, Thomas
Feltz of Belvidere, daughters Sharen (Jeff) Brooks of Roscoe
and Debbie (Mike) Roberts of Loves Park. Beloved
grandchildren: Jennifer, Tamara, Mandi, David, Tonya, Kari,
Tracy, Bethany, Chelsea, Nicholas, Jacob. He was blessed
to be a great grandfather to 15 and a great-great-grandfather
to 2. He is also survived by two dear sisters, Susan Smith
and Rosemary (Barney) Britton. Predeceased by both
parents, brother Jerry Feltz, daughter Barbara Prentice,
grandson Michael and beloved dog, Peanut.
As a father and grandfather, he was unparalleled. He
cherished his family, always checking in on them to see
what’s new. His ability to provide unconditional love will be
his legacy. His joy in seeing them grow and succeed was
evident in every smile, hug, dollar bill or piece of candy he
would slip in their pockets nonchalantly. He was also an avid
Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
We will forever treasure his sense of humor, sarcasm and
unwavering love. Though he may no longer be with us in
body, his spirit and strength will live on in each of us forever.
Special thanks and love to, Mandi and Shawn who always
had his back through thick and thin no matter what. Life is
now split into two, one with him in it and now the one
without. “How lucky I am to have something that makes
saying goodbye so hard.“
A remembrance ceremony and graveside service will be
held at Highland Memorial Gardens in Belvidere on
6/21/2025.
